Meet artist Mary Southall in studio.

Mary Southall is a San Francisco based artist working in acrylic and mixed media. Born in Amarillo, Texas, Mary’s earliest memories are of the vast Texas landscape and sky that she experienced by her father’s side, a 5th generation farmer and rancher. Always drawing, painting, making dollhouses and mud pies, her creativity was nurtured by her artistic mother, a technical draftsman by trade. Mary earned a BFA degree from Texas State University. After graduating college she began her career by joining Cibola Studio/Gallery cooperative and later went on to co-found Acme Art Gallery in downtown Austin before moving to San Francisco.
