Meet artist Hugo Kobayashi in studio.
Artist Hugo Kobayashi lives and works in San Francisco, California.
Born in Los Angeles and based in San Francisco, Hugo enjoys making all sorts of paintings and movies. He earned a MFA from Hunter College in 1986. His undergraduate degree is from U.C. Berkeley. In 2020, he was one of a handful of artists chosen to be included in The de Young museum’s 125th anniversary edition of The de Young Open, an annual showcase of local San Francisco Bay Area artists.
